Irrelevant Advertisements

I have recently launched a fun/entertainment/humor website which contains riddles, brain teasers, jokes and pranks but the adsense ads I am getting are totally irrelevant and doesn't target this niche. These are mostly engineering ads. What can I do so that related advertisements are shown.

This has been a problem recently with the entertainment sites, as many advertisers are not willing to advertise on these sites as the traffic is not targetted.

You cannot control the Type of ads in google, but bidvertiser allowes you to do so. you can try bidvertiser.

I have a idea, use the ad filter for some, use some keywords using the google keyword tool.....it can let you know the chances if someone is bidding for the keywords in your niche.....all the best!

Also try and mention your keywords more in your pages and try using meta tags, descriptions e.t.c it may help the google adsense bot...

How many months old your site? Do you have enough content on your website?

If there is no enough content on your site you will get irrelevant ads.

or you can try section targeting it will help a bit.

You can try Section targetting search the Google you will find many resources.

Well you can't control on it but you can block those ads if you get lower earning. I had same problem in past but it will be corrected by Google .

Yes, as someone mentioned earlier, this is due to the unwillingness of advertisers to advertise on entertainment based sites.
This problem can be easily set right by using targeted keywords and appropriate <meta> tags.
Also, if they generate income not worthy of your notice, just block the offending ads.
