Reseller Web Hosting

What do you guys think about Reseller web hosting? I personally prefer it because I can host number of domains in same hosting account and can even resell some webhosting to friends and others. The only drawback of reseller hosting is that it uses same IP for all sites.

thats a good niche to work in....i think you can manage to sel at least 3-4 a month.....and it will only grow later on...

one thing i don't understand....if my one ip is banned by some service...will i not be able to do anything with the others...since it is shared...

I am using a WHM powered hosting plan for my own websites.
And it is very easy to do it this way. Backups etc.

i used to resell hosting to my friends and to webmaster forum members

but now everybody is doing this so selling at forums is not really worth the effort....just my 2 cents

You can still use the others, IP banning is script-based (for the most part, but even in other circumstances it won't extend beyond that site).

I have never purchased a reseller hosting plan However, I have considered using reseller hosting plans to add services for my business.

I always prefer a reseller account since you get individual control panels for the sites. Its better to manage them this way.

Also, not always are all sites on the same IP. You can request a different IP too.

Btw, does anyone here need a reseller plan :D ?

I'm glad you asked :)

I'll answer your queries:

You bill your customers. So people / your clients can pay you in any manner that you choose. Its your choice.

You can create upto 20 CPanel accounts on that plan, as mentioned. They can be of any size / bandwidth that you wish. You decide :)

Regarding the support, we "may" provide support to your end clients, but we aren't obliged to. However, since YOU are our customer, you get 24x7 support from us.

EDIT: According to ARIN Rules, your accounts can only have a dedicated IP if they justify the need. Such as, installing an SSL certificate.
