I am going to be starting up a new website based around music and for the forums I was wondering which of those three were the best. It's been a while since I have made a forum. Base your decision on the ones with the best free skins/mods and easiest to navigate please :)

Ive used IPB, vB or a bundle of times i cant remember.
If you want a forum that provides everything that is "good" and nice already there really, id use vbulletin. Its strong, fast, and pretty easy.
If you want something to have lots of things, easy to use id use IPB, it also has lots of free mods and skins.

I was thinking vBulletin because I have never used it before but a lot of the forums I see now use it. I usually use IPB and I like it but I feel like using something new.

I'd be careful of phpBB it's much more prone to getting hacked or defaced.

Vb, is probably the best one you can use. Defiantly do not use phpBB. But it rally depends on your budget, if you can afford any one you want, the go ahead and buy a VB license.

VB is best.. Never use phpBB as it has been hacked several times...

I would never use anything but IPB, vBulletin really annoys me because of the Admin CP, and Mod CP along with that the code is very sloppy and awful. I own 2 copies of vBulletin but only because I develop for it.. compared to 8 copies of IPB (along that I'm an offical beta/alpha tester for IPS).
Anyways, I would go with IPB any day over vBulletin.

I would go with vB - I always used to use Invision, I even wrote a CMS addon for it for one site I used to run, but recently I've moved over - it might just be me, but IPB seems to be loosing popularity slowly....

I usually prefer to use IPB ,because its easy to use & it also has lots of free mods, skins, templates etc.

I would vote for vBulletin as well. It has become my favorite forum software now because of the ease of use and the features. Even with pure installation it's nice to go with. It's even better when you add some plug-ins, like the itrader plug-in, etc.

PHPbb is good if you want something that is free.

Out of the paid forum Softwares there are the main four UBBthreads, WoWBB, vB and IPB.

In my opinion vB is the best way more modifications than the other paid softwares, looks more official for a company or any other forum and the Admin CP is easy to use.

Also I have a software coming out that get's people thousands of posts a day and hundreds of members and im only releasing it for vB and PHPbb.

If you are looking for something free try out SimpleMachineForums.

I have used almost all kinds of boards by now.
Finally sticking on to vBulletin.
I can recommend you vBulletin among paid board, and phpBB among free boards.

go with vb. i've been using vb for 2 years and i'm happy with it. before this, i tried using ipb. they had the worst support, lack of mod and free skins. yes, lack of free skins is why i moved to vbulletin.

plus, i think seo is better with vb.

More and more MMOROG players are familiar with these two words “power leveling” which appeared years ago, while not many players are acquaint themselves with the significance of power leveling, some players even despise power leveling. Let me take WoW Power Leveling (http://www.item4u.com/WoW-US/Power-Leveling) for example to show you what power leveling does. What I really want to declare firstly is that World of Warcraft Power Leveling (http://www.item4u.com/WoW-EU/Power-Leveling) is not shameful for both the buyer and the players who power level for others. There are a lot of players who think that power leveling make the game itself meaningless for the reason of not playing the game themselves. They are against power leveling. In fact, we all know that as non-professional players, we can not level our characters ourselves all the time. We have our own works, our duty, and our lives. Game is not everything, while in World of Warcraft we all want to be the one who can do more than we can in real life. In order to make this possible, we want higher level, good equipments and skills. A lot of people skip classes, as for a leave or do other things which are contrary to the normal order of life to gain these in game. This is not the tenet of game or playing game. Welcome to www.item4u.com Warhammer Power leveling (http://www.item4u.com/Warhammer-Online/Power-Leveling) .Do you want to parade your superior gears and conquer the others? I don’t tell you to go to some authority website or said that the website has been a professional, loyal and reliable store of LOTRO Power Leveling (http://www.item4u.com/LOTRO-US/Power-Leveling) and paypal confirmed seller for years. We have successful experience for power leveling exchange online. We know what the buyers need, a fast way of delivery. So we are trying to do an instant way for LOTRO. We have mass available stock of Lord of The Rings Online Power leveling (http://www.item4u.com/LOTRO-EU/Power-Leveling) that we can really provide an instant way of lord of the rings power leveling process.
