Bop, you are asking for a lot arnt u!! lol High PR expired domains and free hosting!! :p

In all seriousness, you will be lucky to find any with no ads - it just never happens any more, and even if you do find one, its bound to be really restricted, and problably down half the time. I would recommend you just accept the fact you might have to pay, but there are some reasonable deals out there - www.webattention.net (http://www.webattention.net/affiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=2009) is the company I use - 200MB space, 2.5GB bandwidth p/m, all the usual bells and whistles (PHP, mySQL etc) for like £3 a month. To be honest there are cheaper deals out there if you want to look for them, but there is never a garentuee on the service....

Well, you can try and look for offers at http://freewebhostingtalk.com/ - I've found some offers which have no ads, and over 1gb of storage. Do not go with Speqo, even though they offer an excellent 5gb of storage, 50gb of bandwidth, cPanel, RVSkin etc. If you read their TOS thoroughly you'll see that '..they have the right to copy the content you have.'

the closest your going to get to free hosting is buying a server and using this to host your files, once you have your sever addvertise to others like your self for low cost internet web hosting, Yahoo charge you for the hosting plus for buisness they allso charge you a small percentage for the paypal transactions. you could be one of the first to offer free hosting but take a percentage from the sales they do or the addvertising revue they earn. Prob a bit too much hasle just to get free hosting but lifes too much hasle LOL

Would you consider a hosting that's "free of cost" (in $$) but requires you to post?
Well I'm currently with such host, and I'm pretty satisfied. I think this host is as good as paid ones, but the drawback is.. you have to post. The amount of required posts depends on the desired hosting package, though. Well, the site is liway.com.

I my opinion, the best free web hosting with no ads is Google Pages. Though it provides limited features, but it is quite reliable. You also get unlimited data transfer limit and 100 MB of webspace. It also has some good templates to choose from. Last but not the least, it is provided by Google so you can rely on it. :)
