Hello everybody,
I need a answer of my simple question as I am little confused over here.
I need to implement a login user and register module with Ajax. So in which language should it be easier to develop. ASP or PHP?
Please give me suggestions on this....
Thanks
in my opinion, i would consider php better. this is a fairly biased opinion however, because i know a bit of php, but no asp.
the reason i consider php to be better is the sheer amount of resources available to you when you are learning/using php. there are just so many people that know php that its easy to find help.
asp, well, i've always considered it a bit more specialised that php, but as i said, ive never really used it before

Hey thanks for the reply but some are saying ASP is easier than php while maintaining session related thing.
Is it so??

PHP all the way. Php I think is the most commonly used programming language on web. I use it, and it is easy to use. For sessions and stuff for logins, php is good for that too.
if you want a comparison of how to do sessions in php and asp, heres a tutorial for each language. just have a quick read.
well, from my reading, they look about the same really. thats just for the basics however, and more advanced session related things might be different, but really i would have to say they are both pretty similar in sessions
sessions in php: http://www.tizag.com/phpT/phpsessions.php
sessions in asp: http://www.w3schools.com/asp/asp_sessions.asp

if you want to use AJAX, ASP better more than PHP.
But if you want to make a balance between ASP & PHP, PHP give you better result. Only in ECommerce section ASP is best from PHP.

Seeing the current trend i think PHP is the ultimate script for everything
Not only Windows server costs high ,ASP coding do not have many predefined scripts as such as PHP

I think ASP is better with Ajax. I have developed several modules using ajax in ASP. It is so simple to implement Ajax in ASP...
I don't know about PHP...

Firstly, I'm not sure if people know the difference, but ASP and ASP.NET are entirely two different languages. Yes .NET was built off of the original, but ASP is outdated, though still a lot more scalable with mass numbers of requests from clients. ASP.NET is a lot easier to use with AJAX (Atlas), though for smaller projects, PHP would be more convenient to use because of the simplicity of just setting it up (not to mention server costs and set up, nor is it compiled).

500 pound bombYou know what the last thing that went through Zarqawi's mind was? A 500 pound bomb! The Air Force got him by dropping two 500 pond bombs on his safe house. 500 pounds? ...Do they even have to go off at that point? ...And now his supporters in the Middle East are claiming there is more than one al-Zarqawi, which is OK. We have more than one 500 pound bomb. desiccant (http://www.yuqing.cc/product/Sodium-Chlorite/)
