Joomla!

Has anyone here heard of Joomla! I think it is just terrific for designin websites it really helped me get going quickly.

Joomla is just kind of CMS it is a simple way to make site in that CMS, U must have template, apache, mysql, php, main files of Joomla on server (that may be local serv (127.0.0.1)) and then U can easy make Ur site ;)

Joomla! is by far the best CMS I have run across so far. It has excellent customization and a great mod/theme base.

Nuke is a one-track application, unfortunately. The only way to add things is download/write mods.

Can you please make me clear that what is JOOMLA template? Is it a style like web 2.0 or it is something different? I have asked it on other forums too but got no reply :(

A Joomla! template is a theme designed to work with Joomla! (http://www.joomla.com), an open-source content management system written in PHP.

Jani, joomla template is cutted design, graphic in pieces ;) just like U must do, when U want to code Ur design in xhtml+css, U cut design. In Joomla U must also state which piece conform for what. Example have design, cut it and some pieces are a background in menu, U must state this and when U make a menu in Joomla, Joomla take that piece itself, it is easy, and comfortable ;)

I use it on my moms site and some here at school but honestly I hate it. Yes, it is good for some sites, but in the long run I would prefer to have a site that isn't CMS. CMS's are a waste of time and web space if you ask me.
