Meta tag vs. sitemap xml??

Meta tag says visit every 15 days but sitemap.xml says visit every 7 days for Google bot crawling/indexing. Is it ok or it contradicts each other or it is a confusion fo Google bot.?

It should be same on both google sitemap and meta tags. Some search engines considers meta tags and some are not.

No.Meta tags are very important, they have a great deal to do with how well a page ranks, they will show up in the descriptions in the SERP's and as well. However it is not the end all and be all by any means.

IIRC, Google doesn't pay much attention to meta tags nowadays, it uses their own methods for figuring out stuff. However, they definitely do pay attention to sitemaps. My advice: use both, but remember my #1 SEO tip - content is king (ie it doesn't matter how much SEO you do, at the end of the day it's the content that matters to a search engine).
