You can also submit your website to various bookmarking websites like Furl, Stumble Upon, del.icio.us, etc. You can provide a good and interesting description of your website. These websites are becoming quite popular and millions of people visit these websites daily.

I strongly agree with getting more backlinks as it gets your site higher in search engines which is always important but social bookmarketing only gives you traffic for a short amount of time. Submitting your site to the main three search engines is also a good idea. Once you do that, you should get more traffic.

Wow, those are some great tips, thanks! I especially like the Yahoo & Google ones...I don't know why, but I didn't know that there was a specific link that you could go to do it for free.
I may suggest, however, adding directories to your list. I think that it is another good way to get exposure. Perhaps also affiliating with other sites. :]

i have done the first 2 option. the third one , i just create an account in any pr4/3/5 forum and put my link in signature. But i just don't see any improvement yet. it sounded simple and but, making your site in google is not as easy as it seems.

Directories are good for backlinks , not really for traffic but if traffic comes from there, then it will targeted.
