What is your favourite forum software?

Mine is vBulletin, I find all the built in features it has excellent, and with the wide range of 3rd party mods/skins etc a great addition to the best forum software :p

It also depends on your budget. I have used vBulletin, phpBB. SMF, myBB, and a few others and I have enjoyed using all of them. The ones that I prefer to use is phpBB for a low income site where I'm not likely to receive lots of money from advertisements and such, and vBulletin on business like sites that need that more professional touch.

Yeah, i love vbulletin, i used to be an invision lover before but it got too much for me. vb is just better, so i moved to vb but now got an invision license i don't need

To be honest i have held licenses for both IPB and vB and i enjoyed both equally. But i recently began to use myBB forum software and i love every minute of it. Lightweight and easy to use.

vBulletin is my favorite. It is one of the best pay for softwares I have ever played with. It is secure and has tons of mods available.
SMF is good too.

About two years ago, I opened a forum and used vbulletin. Before that I had no idea why it is so expensive. However, after trying it, I understood that NOTHING ELSE can come close to vb. It was so easy to install and setup the forum, that it took me about 20 mins to do that.

I like both IPB and vBulletin. :)

I use IPB for more community based/general forums and vBulletin for professional/webmaster related forums.

As others have said, it really depends on your budget. If you have a fairly large budget, go ahead and buy the vBulletin license, but if you have a small budget, invision power board is always good, same with SMF(i think its free:D).
