Most you've paid for a domain

I know some people pay loads for domains sometimes but I was wondering what's the most you have paid for one?

I have only paid $8 for my current .NET domain, I can't really see myself paying anything more than that :p

my highest paid for a domain name is only 1$ for .org domain name.
but i have some .com & .eu domain name, i collect them free.

I once bought a three letter .com domain for $1700 because I thought it was good deal. After keeping it for about 8 months, I sold it for $2200. That was the best deal I have made in my whole online career :)

I invested in a .com for $100 once.. Kept it 2 months and sold it off for $900 :D

I bought my domain around two years ago at around $23. I remember looking earnestly for one because there were so many available on the net. My main problem was the cheaper ones being inferior to the dearer ones. In the end, I'm glad I chose the one I did.

What domain was it that you bought for $40k? What is the FMV on it now? I could see paying a grande or two for a domain, but $40k? Was this domain already established and generating revenue? Or was it just a really good domain? I am really curious to know. That is a lot of denero to invest in a domain. I belieive the most expensive domain I have ever seen listed was cyberspace.com which was listed for $1,000,000. Could you ever see yourself paying that much for a domain?
