My client is asking me to mod rewrite the links. Does it really helpful in SEO? What type of link is better for seo? Do you have any example of good links by mod rewrite?

Its always a good thing to have SEO Friendly URLs because it helps the search engine to crawl, understand and index easily. You can see the directory in my signature, it has SEO friendly URLs.
